Obituary on funeral home web site: Mabel Richardson McCullough, 95, of Whitmire, widow of T.P. McCullough, died Sunday, September 2, 2012, at her home. Born on November 30, 1916, in the Jollystreet section of Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Henry B. and Bessie McGraw Richardson. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Mrs. McCullough is survived by sons, Thomas A. (Debbie) McCullough of Moncks Corner and George L. McCullough of Newberry; a daughter, Joyce (David) Hill of Whitmire; a sister, Mildred Rushton of Charleston; a brother, Ned M. Richardson of Newberry; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Janelle Richardson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Lighthouse Baptist Church by the Rev. David Clark. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family is at her home and will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, PO Box 1022, Newberry, SC 29108 or Hospice Care of Tri County, 13795 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry, SC 29108.
