HENRY ROTH PASSES AWAY
Henry Roth passed away Saturday afternoon at his home near Goehner. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the West Fairview church with Wm. R. Eicher, J. E. Zimmerman and Geo. S. Miller in charge. Interment was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

OBITUARY
Henry Roth was born in Welmendingen, Germany on March 17, 1869 and died at this home near Goehner August 27, 1932, reaching the age of 63 years, 5 months and 10 days. In his early youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized into the Amish Mennonite church in Germany, in which faith he remained faithful until death. At the time of his death ---
member of the West Fairview congregation of near Beaver Crossing.
At the age of 17 years he left Germany and came to America to make his future home. On December 14, 1893 he was united in marriage to Mary Guth of near Washington, Tazwel county, Illinois. To this union were born 10 children, 4 sons Alvin H. of Noble, Ia. Ben J., Ezra and Clarence of near Goehner, 6 daughters, Mrs. Perry Troyer, Mrs. Noah Graber, and Mrs. Wm Beckler of near Goehner and community, Ida, Mary, and Clara at home.
He leaves to mourn his sudden departure his loving companion, his 10 children, 19 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Mike and Ben of near Milford 1 sister Mrs. Joe Gosho (sic) of near Woodriver, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death, by his father and mother, 9 brothers 3 sisters and 1 grandchild.
He was much concerned about the welfare of his church and was not ashamed to stand for the principles of his faith. He was a kind and loving husband and father, many times sacrificing his own pleasure for the sake and welfare of others.
Death came by heart failure he passing away about 4:15 Saturday p.m. on August 27, quietly and peacefully falling asleep. During his recent illness, he often expressed his desire to go to his heavenly home. God saw fit to take him from us, up in heaven there so high, Angels took him Oh so sudden with no time to say goodbye. Rest on dear father your labors are over, your willing hands will do no more, A faithful friend so true and kind, A faithful friend so true and Kind. No more on earth like you we'll find.
