Tennis Kem, 74, died at 11:25 o'clock last night at his home, 1225 West Fourteenth street, following an illness of two years. He was born in Wayne County April 15, 1857, and has been a resident of this city for the past twenty years. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are the widow, Amanda; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Kern, of Cleveland, Mrs. William Ferrell and Mrs. William Darter, both of Muncie; two sons, Everett, of Muncie and Clete, of Redkey; three stepdaughters, Mrs. John Spears, Mrs. Jess Rookstool and Mrs. Tobe Tartar, all of Muncie; three stepsons, Samuel and Felix West, Delaware County, Glen, John and Vern West, all of Muncie.
The body was removed to the Meeks mortuary and funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Eighth Street U.B. Church with interment in the Tabor Cemetery.
