Mrs. Pinster was born Dec. 11, 1902, in Black Point, Calif., and had lived in Vancouver the last 27 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Association, Fort Vancouver Historical Society and a Portland literary club. She had been an exchange teacher and taught in Thailand and Laos.
She is survived by two sisters, Katherine Smith of Spokane and Henrietta Soliday of Bend, Ore.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Riverview Cemetery in Portland. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
