Geneva Walker King, 78, of the Piney Grove Community, in Winfield, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 8, 1992 at the East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, following a lingering illness. Born in the Piney Grove Community in Winfield on May 28, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James Walker and the late Anna Orick Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold King; one son, Arnold Clayton King; seven sisters: Dorothy Crabtree, Wilda Chitwood, Janie Chitwood, Hettie Chitwood, Mamie McDonald, Mable Creekmore and Lottie Wright; one brother, Luther Walker; one granddaughter, April Campbell; two grandsons: Clay King and Roderick King; and one great grandson, Joshua King. She was a member of the Second Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters: Anna Rose Sexton of Winfield; and Doris Hulbirt of Knoxville; eight sons: Jack King, Ronald King and Sam King, all of Winfield, J. B. King of Strunk, Ky.; Dennis King of Oneida; Rev. David King of Somerset, Ky.; Lynn King of Knoxville; and Tony King of Murfreesboro; 43 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and many other relatives survive also. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 10, from the Second Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Scroggins of Sunbright and the Rev. J. C. Reynolds officiating. The Second Bethlehem Baptist Church Choir and the Joe Davis Singers sang. Burial followed in the Walker Cemetery in the Piney Grove Community. Serving as pallbearers were Kelvin King, Wade King, Tim King, Luke King, Chris King, Greg King, Jennings King, Donnie Sexton and Denny King.
