MOERMOND- Mr. Jacob Moermond, aged 88, formerly of 2040 Galewood Ave., S.W., passed away Saturday afternoon at the home of his granddaughter Mrs. Floyd Atchinson, 8517 Cascade Rd. Surviving are one son, Jacob Jr., of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren, Mrs. Floyd (Florence) Atchinson of Ada, Joseph Peska of Flint , and Louis Peska of Grand Rapids; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Joldersma Funeral Home, 832 Grandville Ave., S.W., Rev. Louis Shy, pastor of the Galewood Mission, officiating. Interment in Wyoming Township Cemetery. Mr. Moermond reposes at the chapel where relatives and friends may meet the family Monday evening from 7 to 9.
