Vardaman – Curtis "Sonny" Woodall, 69, died Saturday, June 16, 2001 of heart failure at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services were held Monday, June 18, 2001 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Johnny Davison, Bro. Donald Haven, Bro. Ronnie Scott and Bro. Clovis Logan officiating. Burial followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Born July 5, 1931 in Guntown, Mr. Woodall was the son of Jennie McBrayer Woodall and the late William "Mote" Woodall. He was a retired employee of the City of Houston and was a member of Jesus is Lord Church in Vardaman. He was preceded in death by his father; five sisters, Charlene Cooper, Faye Autry, Inez O'Barr, Murtice Higginbotham and Jeanette Carter; one brother, James Woodall.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Harpole Woodall of Vardaman; four sisters, Pauline Tuz of Jackson, Tennessee, Irene Earnest and Ann Blansett, both of Okolona and Charlotte Roberts of Verona; one brother, John Woodall and wife, Myra, of Fulton; a host of nieces and nephews.
