Father was Archibald McCorkle, who d. in 1834, Jack's Creek, Chester Co., Tennessee. Mother was Joanna White, who d. 1798 in Lancaster Co., South Carolina.

Grave cover for Reverend Archibald McCorkle. This cover contains both the original tombstone and a new marker. In the spring of 1994, Reverend Louis McCorkle and Dorles Repass had the new marker constructed and had it, along with the original tombstone, set in cement. The original tombstone was cracked and some of the verse could not be deciphered. Photo taken by Dorles Repass in 1994.

Marker dedicated to Reverend Archibald McCorkle at the Salt Fork Cemetery in Saline County, MO. Rev Louis McCorkle had this marker constructed. This photo was taken in 1994 by Dorles Repass.

Back of the photo of Reverend Archibald McCorkle. Original photo in the possession of Dorles Repass. The original photo was passed down to me by my great-grandmother, Mary Virginia McCorkle James. She was the granddaughter of Rev Archibald McCorkle and the daughter of Archibald K. McCorkle who died in 1864 from wounds suffered at the Battle of Atlanta during the last months of the Civil War. Fence section honoring Reverend Archibald McCorkle. A fence surrounds the College Mound Cemetery, Kaufman County, TX. As part of a fund-raising effort for the cemetery, fence sections were offered for construction. Reverend Louis McCorkle and Dorles Repass had a section constructed in honor of Reverend Archibald McCorkle. Photo taken by Dorles Repass.
