Conrad Kirschner 1848 - 1905

Conrad Kirschner was born in Germany June 4, 1848 and died in Ulysses Aug 4, 1905, aged 57 years, 1 month and 28 days. He came direct from Germany to Butler County when 23 years of age, and had been a resident of this county for over 34 years, part of the time being spent on the farm, and the last seven years in Ulysses, where he did a general draying business. Deceased was a member of the Congregational Church, a social member of the Woodman order and carried $1,000 insurance in the Royal Achates. He leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Jauch, who lives near Shelby and Mrs. Hofacker who lives in Germany, also a wife and five living children by his first wife, all of whom were present at the funeral. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Ulysses, Saturday morning, Aug 4, at 10 o'clock, Rev Wilt of the M. F. Church, officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Ulysses Cemetery.
