Deceased was a member of the Congregational Church, a social member of the Woodman order and carried $1,000 insurance in the Royal Achates. He leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Jauch, who lives near Shelby and Mrs. Hofacker who lives in Germany, also a wife and five living children by his first wife, all of whom were present at the funeral. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Ulysses, Saturday morning, Aug 4, at 10 o'clock, Rev Wilt of the M. F. Church, officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Ulysses Cemetery.
