When Harvey Sharpe married Hattie Chandler,Harvey operated a barber shop in Capac Michigan. He and Hattie had three children. A stillborn son, a daughter named Elizabeth (but called Dee Dee), who died young of spinal menengitis, and a son Donald Edward (deceased at the age of 83 in 2003) Three Grandchildren, Harvey Andrew (Fairview Michigan) Donald Edward Jr. (Elk Rapids Michigan) Michelle Annette Sharpe (Taylor) of Tennessee. Two Great Grand Children Dakota and Cheyenne Taylor (Tennessee). My Grandmother was a strong and direct woman who knew how to keep a clean house and run a tight ship. She taught me to look people in the eye when I talked to them, keep my promises, and to tell the truth. She taught me the importance of looking good, to drink my vodka straight and to drink my coffee black. (She made a mean cup of coffee). She lived a life of service to her family and friends. She wasn't much on emotion, I remember seeing my Grandmother cry twice in my life, but it was only in private, in my presence, and it was when she talked about my grandfather's death. When I think of strength of character, of love and dedication to family, when I turn on my vacuum cleaner and dust my knick nacks....Grandma..I think of you. I loved you every year I had you here on earth, and I love you forever. And I know...that you love me to.
Rest in peace Grandmother Sharpe.
