He lived in this area most of his life and was a retired carpenter of the Norfolk City School Board. He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and the 60-Plus Club.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ramona Parrish of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Carolyn Romaning of Portsmouth; a son, Paul A. Carr of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Albright of Danville and Mrs. Earl Atkins of Black Mountain, N.C.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Larry C. Miles. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will have visitation at the funeral home Monday night from 7 to 9.
