John Twibell was born in West Virginia, the 6th day of March,1828, moved to Indiana in 1832, and was married to Francis Ann Simington, November 20, 1850. To this union was born 10 children, five of whom survive him: J.B. Twibell, Westfall, Maggie Kindlesparger, Burlington, Colo. They moved to Kansas in 1883, and he passed away at the home of his daughter in Colorado, January 14, 1920, at the advanced age of 91yrs, 10mo., and 21days. He had been a member of the Christian Church for 50 years. The body was brought to the home of his son, J.B.Twibell, at Westfall, and the funeral services conducted by Rev. L.W. Fitzwater. Internment made in the Tripp ( Culver Union ) cemetery.
