Anderson, who was 81 years old, was supported by his old age penson allowance and presumably asleep, was unable to leave the place after the flames got a good start. He came here from Hayti about six years ago and so far as is known had no near relatives.
Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, conducted by the Rev. E.D. Payne of the colored Baptist church, at Morgan Ridge just south of the city. H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge.
