Mrs. Myra Rosella Brush, 76, a longtime resident of Sargent, died Saturday at the Johnson: County hospital in Tecumseh She had gone to Crab Orchard to spend the holidays with her niece, Mrs. Lucy Laflin, and suffered a heart attack Dec. 28. She was reported to bo recovering until she suffered another attack early Saturday Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Church of Christ in Sargent. The Rev. Dean Donner, pastor, conducted the services. Mrs. Donald Straight. Pianist accompanied Mrs. Dean Donner and Mrs. Joe Smith who sang. Pallbearers were Albert Brass, Russell Shanks, Clifford Stevens, Glenn Myers, Clyde Drake and Duane Kissell. Interment wa s in Mount Hope cemetery. Rhoad Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brush was bom July 4, 1889, at Ord, a daughter of J.F. and Lucy Reeder Chubbuck. When she was 13 she and her parents moved to Sargent and she spent the remainder of her life here. On April 12, 1911, she was united In marriage to Roy Brush at Sargent. They were parents of two sons, Harold and Bernard. She was baptized and became a member of the Church of Christ at Sargent in November 1958. She was a member of the American War Mothers Chapter. She is survived by a son, Bernard and his wife, Evelyn of Broken Bow; a daughter-in-law Mrs. Helen Brush of Grand Island; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Maryth Owen of St. Paul, Mrs. JoAnn Bowman of Cairo, Bradley Brush of Grand Island, Diane Brush of Hastings, Kevin, Carla and Nancy Brush of Broken Bow; three great grandchildren, David and Dawnell Owen of St. Paul, and Bryan Bowman of Cairo; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Harold, her parents, and 14 brothers and sisters.
