Very difficult tracking Margaret May Curtis Vreeland. She was the daughter of Delana Harrington and Samuel Curtis, her mother had a 30 year affair and her parents divorced. It must have been most difficult in the late 1880-1900 to be the daughter of such speculation.

In June of 1908 she married for the first time to Henry Jackson Reynolds, he was living in Manchester and was in partnership with Roger Clendenning a broker from Lexington, Va. the newlyweds lived in the 1705 Elm St home of her mother. The marriage was short lived as she was back in the City Directories in 1917 as Margaret Curtis. In the 1920 census both mother and daughter as listed as divorced.

In 1930 she was without any close family. Her grandmother, mother and uncle who lived behind the family home on Elm Street had all died. She became the manager (owner) of a family Property the Curtis Inn on Manchester St. She was also noted in the 1930 census living in a hotel in Manhatten, NY.
