Off. Donohue responded to a family problem at 1332 Whatcoat Street. After talking to the female he walked into a nearby bedroom to speak to the woman's male friend. As he entered the room he was struck by the male in the head with a beer bottle and dazed. The male then took Off. Donohue's service weapon and shot the officer. Off. Donohue died of his wound the next day May, 20, 1902 never regaining consciousness. The suspect was apprehended in Cockeysville several days later and was executed 09-19-1902 Off. Donohue was survived by his parents. He had just 9 months of service with the agency.
