ORMOND BEACH - Veronica Joan Pugh, 71, of Castle Manor Drive, who retired in 1992 as a bookkeeper, died Thursday at home.
Born in Troy, N.Y., Mrs. Pugh, a homemaker, came here in 1980 from Jensen Beach. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Palette Club of Halifax, where she was a former officer and she was a former president of New York State Federation of Home Bureaus Eastern District. An award winning local artist, she was known for her 3-D watercolor greeting cards.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Pugh, Ormond Beach; a brother, Peter Clukey, Cohoes, N.Y.; and two sisters, Virginia Hedrick, Clifton Park, N.Y., and Patricia Bailey, Narragansett, R.I. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129; or to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Haigh-Black, Ormond Beach, is in charge.
