Mrs. John D. Martz passed away at the Home hospital in Lafayette, Tuesday morning. She had been sick several months and was taken to the hospital for treatment some weeks ago. The body was brought to the undertaking rooms Tuesday and kept there till the time of the funeral. The service was conducted at the Lutheran church, Thursday forenoon, by Rev. I. Whitman.
Mrs. Martz's maiden name was Lucinda Leighty. She was born March 12, 1880, and was aged 42 years, 7 months and 19 days.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Rosa, and a grandchild.
