JoAnne Bowen, 74, of Terre Haute, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, in her residence. She worked in the accounting office for Bowen Oldsmobile and Bob Bowen Ford for over 33 years. JoAnne was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Eaton, Ohio, to Harry Cohee and Dorothy Armstrong Cohee.
Survivors include her sons, Bill Bowman and his wife Ann and Bob Bowen and his wife Lynn; daughters, Becky Shaw and companion William Troy Jenkins and Elizabeth Bowen Tauriello and husband Jeremy; grandchildren, Brian Bowman, Brandon Bowman, Cameron Boyd, Steve Shaw Jr., Nicole Anne Shaw, Russ Shaw, Jacob Anthony Tauriello, Emily Angelina Tauriello, Isabella Elizabeth Tauriello, Kori Bowen, Annie Bowen and Sam Bowen; great-grandchild, Alexis Anne Shaw; niece, Sarah Tokar and husband Steve; nephew, Jeff Brown and wife Kris; several great-nieces and nephews; and good friend, Sharon Pluff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Brown; and granddaughter, Kirstyn Bowen.
JoAnne enjoyed working everyday and being with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, in Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with the Rev. Rick Ginther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, and one hour prior to services Saturday.
