Raleigh, NC: Mrs. Barbara McElwee Irvin age 73 of 3228 Ward Road died Sunday at Wake Med in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 3 PM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Sammy Hall.
Mrs. Irvin was born in New Jersey on November 16, 1936 to the late Albert Eldridge & Gertrude Florence Dawson McElwee. Mrs. Irvin was a retired Travel Agent and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her brother William McElwee and step-son; Steven Harold Rhodes.
Surviving are: Daughter & Son-in-law, Taryn and Hal DeMocker of Clermont Florida; Son & Daughter-in-law, Alan and Christina Rodgers of California; Fiancée, Billy Rhodes of Raleigh; Step-Son & Spouse Shannon & Dee Rhodes of Newton Grove; Grandchildren, Stephanie Moore, Steven DeMocker, Sheri DeMocker, Christian Rodgers, Nicole Rhodes, Bryson Rhodes & Alona Rhodes.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday.
