FLORA, Ind. — James Edward
Walker, 78, a retired farmer residing
north of Burlington, died in
Memorial hospital at 10:45 p.m.
Sunday. He had been ill two years.
Born in Howard county on Feb.
7, 1876, he was the son of Alfred
and Margaret (Caldwell) Walker.
The deceased was a member of
the First Brethren church in Burlington.
He was married in 1900 to Grace
Humbard. She survives with a
daughter. Mrs. Joseph Bebout, Indianapolis,
and a son, John Walker,
two grandchildren three greatgrand
children, four half-brothers
and a half-sister.
Friends may call at the Leiter
funeral home. Final rites will be
conducted there at 2 p.m. Thursday
with the Rev. Myron Dodd
officiating. Interment will be made
in Maple Lawn cemetery.
