Charles Walker, 71, died at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home in Flora, Indiana following an illness. He was born in Howard County, Indiana on May 16, 1872, the son of Alfred and Margaret Caldwell Walker. Surviving are the wife, Murley Clingenpeel Walker, a daughter, Mrs. Edna Shaffer, and a son, Ancil, both of Kokomo; eight grandchildren; a brother, Ed Walker of Flora; a sister, Mrs. Harriet Chumney of Walter and half brothers and sisters, Mrs. Charles Ridenour, Flora; and Samuel and Russell Walker of Kokomo; Merle Walker, Flora; and Walter of Logansport; and Logan of Montana. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Flora Grace Brethren Church with the Reverend Don Bartlee officiant. Burial was made in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
