Elisha was the son of Ebenezer Warner and Dinah Phelps Warner
Elisha (722), married Sarah Scott
(263), February, 1776, for his his first wife ; she died in
1812, aged 62. He again married, but left no children
by either marriage.

this town in 1829, aged 77;

The Belchertown post office was incorporated on April 1,1797, and Elisha Warner was the first postmaster. Mail was left at his tavern on Federal Street. By 1812, the post office had moved uptown to the store of Philo Dickinson who served as postmaster. He died intestate and his widow Rachel petitioned the court to make her administrator of his estate on May 5 1829.
