OBITUARY

Dorothy DAVIS, 71, long time resident of Canadian and a retired operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, died Tuesday in Highland General Hospital at Pampa.

She was a resident of White Deer at the time of her death. Mrs. Davis had moved from Canadian to Pampa when Southwestern Bell closed its Canadian manual exchange.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at four o’clock in the First Christian Church in Canadian, with Ross Blasingame, pastor of the White Deer Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Canadian Cemetery under the direction of Stickley-Hill Funeral Home.

Mrs. DAVIS was born on August 15, 1908 in Nebraska.

Surviving her are a son, G. L. WALKER of Shattuck; a daughter, Mrs. Lynnis Ann HEFNER of White Deer; two brothers, Ora RAMSEY of Canadian and Freel RAMSEY of Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn CURLEE of Amarillo and Mrs. Pearl OWENS of Dumas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
