Mr. and Mrs. Alexander emigrated to the United States in the March of 1884 and came to Grand Island. Mr. Alexander engaged in the contracting business in which he was active until his death, resulting from injuries in a construction accident, on Nov. 13, 1892. Nine children were born of their marriage.
