He was a native of Parmleysville, Kentucky, moving to Muncie in 1950. He was employed at Boxell Construction Co. for two years and worked at Frank Foundries for 21 years prior to retiring in 1973. He was a member of Bethel United Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Betty) Gunter, Mrs. Clarence (Judy) Barnes, and Mrs. Buford (Nina) West, all of Muncie; a son, Dewey William Koger, Muncie; two sisters, Christine Goble, New Castle, and Dovie Gregory, Muncie; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Koger, a son, Carl Case Koger, and a daughter, Wilma Sue Koger.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday or prior to services Thursday.
