Roman Ruba, 70, of Remsen, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 24, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. Concelebrating the service will be his brother, Monsignor Nicholas J. Ruba of Alton, his
nephew, the Rev. Terry Roder of Granville, the Rev. John J. McGuirk of Remsen and the Rev. Raynold Sigwarth of Dubuque. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation
will be after 2 p.m. today (Thursday), with a parish rosary at 3 p.m., a vigil prayer service at 8 p.m., and Knights of Columbus rosary at 8:30 p.m., at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Mr. Ruba was born on June 18, 1921, rural Remsen, the son of Nick and Catherine (Loutsch) Ruba. He was raised and educated in the Remsen area. He was engaged in farming with his brother, Harold in the Remsen-Marcus area until
April 1985, when they retired and moved into Remsen.

Mr. Ruba was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and
Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include five brothers, Monsignor Nicholas I. Ruba of Alton, Irvin and his wife, Ethel, Harold, Melvin and his wife, Agnes, and James and his wife, Dorothy, all of Remsen; two sisters and their husbands, Rosemary and Joseph Roder of Remsen and Doris and J. Robert Seuntjens of Kingsley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Roder, Dave, Jim Jr., Mark, and Richard Ruba and Bob Seuntjens Jr.
