Pvt. Edward Aren, age 21, killed in action Aug. 21, 1944, in France, dearly beloved son of Louis and Rae, loving brother of Anne Plotkin, Lottie Berman, and Shirley Brohner, former husband of Anita Robins, nee Bronstein. Remains at chapel, 704 S. Crawford avenue, Wednesday evening. Funeral Thursday, 10 a.m. Interment Westlawn cemetery. Military honors by Gorod-Hurwitz post, No. 348. J.W.V.

He married shortly before going overseas to a woman named Anita Bronstein.
