BOONEVILLE - John Watson "Hoss" Lambert, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. He was a member of the Tuscumbia Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. He was a U.S. Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Pilcher and Horace Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Bullard Lambert; two daughters, Deborah Burcham and Donna Inman, both of Booneville; one son, Rod Lambert of Booneville; two sisters, Peggy Nabors of Booneville and Earline Rinehart of Natchez; three grandchildren, Heather (Luke) Ledbetter, Tiffany Inman and Dustin Inman; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Tate Ledbetter.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Moline Hare.
Pallbearers will be Luke Ledbetter, Nick Bullard, Mike Rinehart, Sammy Allred, Wayne Whipple and Jimmy Shook.
Visitation will continue until 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
