Mrs. Amanda Brown, 71, a native of Springfield, Ill., and resident of Butte for the last 23 years, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.L. Stine, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Brown came to Butte from to make her home. She had numerous friends and news of her death was received with deep regret.
Mrs. Brown was an active member of Lincoln Post G.A.R.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Mrs. E.L. Stine, Mrs. Charles Britton, and Mrs. Hydella Armstrong; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ilene Lyons, all of Butte; two brothers, Al Lacey in Kansas and William Lacey in Missoula; three nieces, Mrs. Mae McDonald, Butte, Mrs. George Covus of Riverlett, Mrs. Howard Jones of Melrose; and a nephew, Jack Lacey of Helena.
Funeral services in Richards Chapel in Butte. Interment in Melrose cemetery.
