Ernestine Portifilio Paulson
Loving Mother and Grandmother Ernestine Portifilio Paulson, age 72, of Erie, died, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Meadville, Pa. on December 13, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph Pontifilio and Josephine D'Amico Trucco.
She was a cook for Metz and Associates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Paulson, Sr. who died in 1990. A daughter, Carolyn Paulson and a sister, Mary Ann Feltenberger.
She is survived by her beloved children, Kathleen Campbell of Mo., Rebecca Paulson of Calif., James Paulson and his wife, Kim and William Paulson all of Erie. Eight grandchildren, Richard "Gino" Pasquale, Justine and Philip Campbell, Jennifer, James R. III, Jacob, Joshua and Jared Paulson. Two sisters, Christine Kowalski and her husband, Larry and Frances Hatheway and her husband, Donald all of Erie. A brother, Anthony Portifilio of Buffalo. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at The Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.and are invited to attend the Funeral Services there on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael DeMartinis, officiating.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
