Married James "Harvey" Woolworth on Mar 9, 1864 in Arena, WI. They had eight children, James, Katherine(Kate),Evalyn (Eva),Frank,Robert(Rob),Nellie, Sam and Rose.

When she was two years old her parents, grandparents and other relatives left their native land (Wales,England)in quest of a home in the new world. The entire family settled in Arena, WI where she was reared and educated. As a young woman she watched the gathering of clouds and cheered the young men of the community as they marched of to the great conflict. In 1863, James Harvey Woolworth returned from the war to his home in Arena to recooperate from sickness he contracted while in the service. Tho the fires of war continued to burn, love would bind them and before he would march of to join his regiment for the uncertainties of another year of war he would claim her as his bride. When peace kissed the land he was among the happy lads who returned home to waiting arms of his wife and family as the young couple took up their life together.

Just ten year after the close of the Civil War,the Woolworths moved westward and established their home on a farm in James, IA. There they reared their family and lived for 25 yrs. In 1899 they retired to a home in Leeds (Sioux City, IA)
Thru the years she lived on her own in her home at 4430 Springfield st and enjoyed the attentive fellowship of her loved ones and a large circle of friends. The years rested lightly upon her and her spirit was such that her friends came not merely to give of their fellowship but to receive far more than they gave in inspiration and contentment. Her family was the center of her interests and a constant source of joy and she followed each one of that growing circle with genuine interest and affection.
A few months ago she sufferd a sick spell which inroads of arthritis. She continued to cheerfully greet those who came to see her but with passing day she grew weaker. She was a patient sufferer and until the last days she retained full possession of her faculties. It was in the evening when her body gave up its struggle and her spirit returned to God who gave it.

She is survived by her children Mrs. Katherine Luce of Sioux City, Mrs.Evalyn Wilson of San Diego,CA, Frank Woolworth of Los Angles,CA, Robert Woolworth of James,IA, Mrs. Nellie Montgomery of Sioux City, Sam Woolworth of James,IA, Mrs. Rose Savage of Sioux City. Her eldest son James Henry Woolworth died Feb 10, 1920. A brother Evan Lloyd lives in Arena,WI. She has 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. (at time of her death, it has grown to 100s as her prosperity continues to multiply)
