John Copley.

John Copley served in the Royal Munster Fusiliers during World War 1.

Marriage.
John Copley, aged 38, a widower, a Labourer, from Grace Street, Kilrush, son of James Copley, married Kate McGonigall, aged 36, a spinster, from Kilrush Union Workhouse, daughter of James McGonigall, a Nailer, on 30 April 1914.
The witnesses were
James Sullivan,
Joseph Clune.

at the birth of his son Gerard on 19 August 1916, Kate recorded him as,
a Labourer, now serving in the Royal Munster Fusiliers, 8th Battalion, D Company, No. 4644.

Death.
John Copley, aged 54, married, a Pensioner, late of Grace Street, Kilrush, Co. Clare, died on 3 March 1928 at the Special Surgical Hospital, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
The cause of death was Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Cardiac Failure, certified.
note.
The Special Surgical Hospital Hospital, Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock, was set up to cater for casualties of WW1, who needed "reconstruction" for their injuries. It later death with Tuberculosis of military personnel.
