Bill Baxter, 73, of 914 Twenty-Third, died Sunday in a Wichita Falls hospital.

Services will be at 11 am Tuesday in Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with the Rev James Gilbert, pastor of Calvary Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joel Fields, Virgil Bond, Doyle Gentry, Ernest Ray Steward, Frank Brumbelow and Johnny Stevenson.

Baxter was born April 1, 1904 and was the retired owner of a salvage company.

Survivors include his wife, Callie, two sons, Jackie of Fort Worth and Richard of Wihita Falls; four daughters, Mrs Jewell Addison of Houston, Mrs Ruth Clack and Mrs Lovanell Eanes, both of Wichita Falls, and Mrs Evelyn Laitola of Michigan; a brother, Jack Baxter of Irving, Texas; five sisters, Myrtle Strawhorn, Martha Anderson and Mrs Lloyd Norris, all of Olney, Texas, Mrs Erv Judd of Dallas and Mrs Dorothy McQuirk [Magouirk] of Houston; 31 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
