Death Comes to Abe Massey, 60
Abe Massey, 60, well known former resident of Chandlersville, passed away Thursday evening at the Danville, Va., hospital. He had been ill for the past six weeks and a patient at the hospital for the last three.
Although he had been a resident of Danville for the past seven years, he looked on his Chandlersville farm as home. He was employed in the textile mill at Danville.
Mr. Massey was born near Danville but moved to his Chandlersville farm 16 years ago. He was a member of the Order of Juniors at Danville. The deceased is survived by Mrs. Cora Massey, of the home; three sons, J.F. Massey, of the Chandlersville farm home, and Reuben and Harvey Massey, both of Danville; a daughter, Miss Ethel Massey, of the Chandlersville farm home, and four sisters and two brothers.
The body will arrive at the Henderson funeral home, Duncan Falls, today. Funeral arrangements were not complete last night.
