Service was Thursday afternoon at Brintlinger's Cerro Gordo Funeral Home. The Rev. Prosper Tournear of Cerro Gordo United Methodst Church officiated. Burial was in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Mr. Rock was born July 28, 1912, at Oakley. He was a son of Douglas David and Goldie Hess Rock. He married Dorothy Tirey June 2, 1934, at Illiopolis. She survives. Other survivors are two sons, Donald of Oakley and David of Decatur; six grandchildren: and one great grandchild. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Rock was a secion foreman with the Wabash and Norfolk & Western railroads before he retired in 1973. After retiring, he drove a school bus for four years. He was a member of the Wabash Fellowship Club, the Brotherhood of Norfolk & Western Workers, and Royal Neighbors of America.
