She also worked at the Carlisle Hardware Store in Indian Orchard, Springfield, and for the government during World War II. A lifelong resident, she was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. She leaves her husband, John F. Bantis; two brothers, Edward and Eugene of Ludlow, and nieces and nephews. The funeral was private, and a memorial Mass will be arranged. Ludlow Funeral Home is in charge, and memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cedar Street, Ludlow, 01056.
