Elroy "Bill" Anger, 89, of Midland, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center,
The son of the late William and Ocie (Alsphaugh) Anger was born Feb, 28, 1913, in Midland, where he was raised and educated. Bill served with the Army Air Corp. during World War II.
He married the former Louise Robertson on Feb. 28, 1942, in Florida. Bill worked as a mechanic for the Dow Chemical Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1974. He was a founding member of the Mid-Michee Bowman Club, a member of the N. R. A. and Centre Lodge No. 273 F.&A.M. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; his son, William (Linda) Anger of Midland; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Steve) Manley of Beaverton and Ken Anger of Midland; his brothers, Clemon (Marge) Anger and Lee (Lillian) Anger; his sister, Edith Carlson, all of Midland; and his sister-in-law, Ethel Anger of Florida. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Anger; sister and brother-in-law Ellen and Harold Short; and brother-in-law, Roy Carlson.
Funeral services for Mr. Anger will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2002, from the Wilson Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Turner officiating.
Interment will follow in Poseyville Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted under the auspices of the Midland Area Veterans.
Family will meet with friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service. A Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. this evening.
