RAWLINS- George Rawlins, 77, died yesterday at the home, 2222 South Glenwood, Independence. He had been ill about a year.

Mr. Rawlins was born in Marshalltown, Ia., and moved to Independence 12 years ago from Lincoln, Neb.

He was a retired cabinetmaker and was a member of the Sterling Avenue R. L. D. S. church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Rawlins of the home; three sons, George Robert Rawlins, 3401 North Osage, Independence, and Frederick Dale Rawlins and Elmer Lee Rawlins of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Laura Gaffield, Westminister, Colo.; Mrs. Donna Giese, 1303 Appleton, Independence; Miss Naomi Rawlins, Denver, and Miss Rogene Rawlins of the home; a sister, Mrs. Susie Tabler, Lincoln; a brother, Charles H. Rawlins, Stockton, Calif., and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the Speaks chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery.
