Ronald Joe Wickham, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Wickham of Olney, died as a result of injuries suffered while riding a motorcycle early Friday morning, near Kalkaska, Mich., where he had made his home for the last five months.
He reportedly was passing a car, when his motorcycle went out of control and he was thrown from the cycle.
Mr. Wickham was born in Olney, Oct. 24, 1944 and graduated from the Richland County Schools.
He was united in marriage with Linda Thomas in September of 1964.
Before moving to Kalkaska to work with Cedco Drilling Co., he worked at the International Shoe Co. in Olney.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Christa and Shari Lynn at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Wickham of Olney; two brothers, Richard of Riley, Ind. and Randy of Olney; a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Georgia Musgrove of Sumner and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wickham and his maternal grandfather Mr. Carl Musgrove.
