Madison - Services for Eldor Eucker, 81, Madison, will be at 10 a.m. Monday here at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk, with Military rites by American Legion Post 35 and VFW Post 5763, Madison.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison.
Mr. Eucker died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Eldor August Arthur Eucker was born on Jan. 15, 1925, on a farm near Lindsay, the son of Arthur and Bertha (Zessin) Eucker. He was baptized on Feb. 8, 1925, and confirmed on May 8, 1938, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Lindsay.
He graduated from Madison High School in 1942 and then farmed with his father before serving in the U.S. Army from Jan. 9, 1946 to March 18, 1947.
He married Betty Grashorn on Feb. 26, 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Madison. The couple then farmed until 1972 when they moved into Madison where he worked for an implement dealer and also worked for area farmers. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Madison; one son, Dale Eucker of Ault, Colo.; One Daughter Diane Koening, and her husband, Richard, of Madison, five grandchildren, Brian Koenig, David Koenig, and Chris Koenig, all of Madison, Kerry Eucker of Loveland, Colo.; and Krystal Hanna of Ault, Colo.; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Violet Droescher of Norfolk, Elaine Schulz of Madison, Betty Bachman of Fremont and Donna Frank of Florida; and one brother, DuWayne Eucker of Norfolk.
The Rev. Calvin L'Heureux will officiate during the services on Monday.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
