Besides his wife, Albert is survived by his children: James of Lethbridge, Gerald (Vivian) of Lethbridge, Joseph of Medicine Hat, and Corinne of Picture Butte. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Albert is predeceased by his parents, and two daughters: Corrine (1967) and Ruby-Ann (2005).
Albert was born in Schuler, AB on December 14, 1939 to Raymond and Ida Matson. He helped his parents farm until 1958 when he moved to Medicine Hat and got a job working at the Brick and Tile. He was to meet the love of his life in 1959 in Redcliff and they were soon married in July of 1960. He also worked for many places until 1971 when he started a Janitorial Company (A & M) Janitorial. He worked for many businesses until 1989 when the family moved to Lethbridge. He worked at McDonalds Restaurant on Scenic Dr. S. as a maintenance man for over 20 years. Albert was an avid gardener. He was always glad to see his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and he would have food fights and play tricks on them all.
Albert will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A private family viewing will be held, with cremation to follow.
Friends and family are invited to a gathering on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 1:15 to 4:00 p.m. at the Coalhurst Good News Centre, 5106-6 Street, Coalhurst.
