Tony "Latin Liner" Hernandez, 47, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010. He was a lifelong musician and member of the Para Vida Band. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he was also a member of the choir.

Tony was born April 25, 1963 in Vernon, Texas to Macario Hernandez, Sr. and the late Juanita Perez Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Perez Hernandez; a brother and a sister, Joe and Dora Hernandez.

His survivors include his father, Macario Hernandez, Sr.; four sisters, Lupe Rangel of Grand Prairie, Oga McCormick of Ft. Worth, Gloria Subia and Mary Rangel both of Lubbock; four brothers, Mack, Jr., Jesse and Richard Hernandez all of Lubbock, and Ernest H. Mendez of San Antonio; special friend, Estella Tijerina; and many nieces and nephews.

Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 17th at Sanders Funeral Home. Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Andres Mendoza as celebrant. Burial followed at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Rangel, Nicole McCormick, Victor J. Rangel, Jr., Lorenzo Rangel, Jesus Hernandez, Johnny Joe Hernandez, Mel Hernandez and Jason Subia.
