Jack Templin, 93, of Union Street, Tamaqua, died Monday, Sept. 27, in Coaldale. He was the husband of the late Gloria (Moses) Templin, who died Dec. 1, 1982.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by ICI Americas, Reynolds. Previoulsy, he worked for the former Atlas Powder Company, Reynolds.
Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Frank and Florence (Scheitrum) Templin.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a B-26 mechanic in the European Theater.
He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua.
A graduate of Tamaqua High School, he was also a life member of the American Hose Company and a former member of the C.H. Berry American Legion 173, both of Tamaqua.
Surviving are three sons, Gary of Tamaqua, Robert and his wife, Maryann, of New Ringgold, and Richard of Zion Grove; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Fay, Mildred, Laura Westen and Ruth Costic; and a brother, Frank Jr.
