Olive J. Goodell was born in Conquest, Cayuga
Co., NY June 26th, 1943, and passed out from
this life February 29th, 1932, 5:30 p. m.
She came with her parents to Michigan in
1863 and, settled in Dayton Township.
December 25th, 1864, she was united in
marriage to John Sugden Sr. who proceeded
her in death September 12, 1918. To this
union nine children were born, William,
of Rich; Mrs. Harmon Fox, of San Diego,
Cal.; Frank and Mrs. Isaac Belknap, of
Maywile; Mrs. William Bellas, of Dayton;
Mrs. H. A. Williams, of San Diego, Cal;
Charles, of Fremont; John, of Plymouth;
and Milton, of Cass City.
In early life she gave her heart to Christ
and united with the Baptist Church in New
York State and when she moved to Michigan
she transferred her membership to the
Baptist Church in Mayvjllo. She always
lived a consistent Christian life before
her family and friends,
She leaves to mourn her departure her nine
children, thirty-one grand children,
twenty-one great grand children, and a host
of relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held last Thursday
afternoon at the Baptist Church, Rev. II, A.
Buell officiating and burial in Fremont Cemetery.
