Edward Allen was born on May 6, 1924, in Penobscot Location near Hibbing to Thomas and Agnes (Connors) Allen. He was a veteran during WWII serving in the Army in the European Theatre. After the war, Edward was employed with the track gang at DM & IR Railroad. After retiring from the railroad, Edward took the position of sexton at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching hockey, baseball and football, and he loved hunting. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.
