VIRGIE GARRETT

Virgie Garrett, age 92, of the Banner Springs Community, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. Garrett was born June 24, 1918.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by two sons, Donnie Garrett and wife Kaye of Clarkrange and Lonnie Garrett of the Banner Springs Community; two daughters, Marriene Payne of Clarkrange and Joyce Payne and husband Speedy of the Banner Springs Community; two brothers, Shelby Beaty of ?Cookeville and Bruce Beaty of Ohio; six sisters, Edith Phipps, Josie Hale, Lallon Olmstead, Lois Brown and Maxine Blake all of Ohio and Olene Hicks of IN; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and thirty-three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by parents, Manuel and Roena Matthews Beaty; husband, Quitman Garrett; two daughters, Barbara Garrett Huling and Vonda Faye Garrett; and a host of brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dunford and Bro. Hoyt Looper officiating. Burial followed in the Spring Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers included Kevin Garrett, Dodd Garrett, Brent Garrett, Josh Garrett, Keith Payne, Greg Payne, Jeff Payne and Jerry Huling.

Mundy Funeral Home of Clarkrange, Tennessee was in charge of services.
