She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Earl and Josephine Lillian Bates; 2 brothers, Deava Bates and Walter Raleigh Bates; and 1 sister, Goldine Bates Payne.
The family received friends on Friday, June 11, 2004 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
