Bernice Bell Anglin Shook, age 86, of Henderson, Iowa, passed away Tuesday. June 28. 1994. at ihe Visia Gardens Care Center in Red Oak afler an extended illness.
Mrs. Shook was born on July 24, 1907. in Elm Springs. Arkansas, the daughlcr of James K. Polk and Mercy Merrar George Anglin. She was married on December 24, 1925 to Theodore C. Shook in Springtown. Arkansas. They farmed in Arkansas until moving to Henderson. Iowa, in 1941, where she kept books for her husband's Standard Oil dealership.
Bernice was a member of the Henderson Christian Church, the Henderson Senior Citizens Center and former member of the Henderson Library Club.
She is survived by her son, LeRoy and his wife, Faye Shook of Nevada, Iowa; two daughters. Pauline and her husband. Dean Perry, of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Barbara and her husband. Gordon Frink, of Henderson. Iowa; eight grandchildren Steve, Bonita, Tamara, Brenda, Brian, Gary, Barry, and Sherry and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Friday, July 1, 1994 at the Henderson Christian Church with Rev. Mel Smith and Rev. Jack Anglin officiating. Burial in the Emerson Cemetery.
