JENNIE HAYS, Denver, Colorado-Jennie Hays, 99, formerly of Bloomington, died
Monday in Denver. She was born July 20, 1877, in Monroe County, the
daughter of David T. and Sarah Frances (Mize) Shields. She had taught at
Knightridge School and was a member of the Friendship Baptist church.
Surviving are one daughter,Rose Campbell of Denver, Colo., one son,
Albert Bailey of Paonia, Colorado, 11 grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.
Her first husband, Charles L. Bailey, her second husband, Isaac Hays, and 11
brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday at the Day Mortuary with the Rev.
Clyde Sciscoe officiating. Burial will be at Knightridge Cemetery. Friends
may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 PM Thursday.
